Amputees Are Awesome exists to create opportunity, community, and practical support for anyone living with limb loss or limb difference — civilians, veterans, and everyone in between. Our programs, prosthetics funding, and retreat center are open to all.
We have a special heart for the veteran community. Those who served this country and came home changed deserve more than gratitude — they deserve real, tangible support. We work to make sure every veteran living with limb loss can access the care, equipment, and community they've earned.
The Tennessee Retreat
A place to rest, rebuild, and reconnect.
We are building a fully accessible retreat center in Tennessee — designed from the ground up for people living with limb loss or limb difference. Open to civilians and veterans alike, The Haven will offer sleeping accommodations, activity space, accessible bathrooms and showers, outdoor gathering areas, gazebos, and a fire pit where community is built around shared experience.
